My favorite teacher in high school, the one who encouraged me to try my hand at writing, said that the best writers are just as interesting as the stories they write. I am a middle-aged man who has lived a life of strange fortunes. Although I had two short stories published in long-defunct magazines when I was in high school, my professional writing credits as an adult are limited to two comic book series, Jackrabbit and Freak Meter, published by the Seattle based Committed Comics, and a screenplay for an Amazon film contest. I focused much of my adult life on the pursuit of music, the high point of which was the release of a critically acclaimed but commercially underwhelming comedy-punk album while fronting a band called Pain Junky.
